About Ceartas Advocacy
Ceartas Advocacy is a membership organisation. Anyone who has an interest in our work and supports the values that Ceartas promotes can apply to be a member and demonstrate their support of our work.Members will be kept informed of our work and be able to shape our future work and priorities as we involve our service users and members in our planning. Members can attend our Annual General Meetings, and are eligible to vote to elect our Board of Directors.Ceartas Advocacy is a member of the Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance (SIAA), and is guided by the SIAA’s principles and values.Our Mission Statement

Ceartas (cy?-tas – pronounced KEIR-tis) is a Gaelic word meaning ‘equality, justice and fairness’. These are the values which we promote through our work with the people of East Dunbartonshire.
Provision of support for people with dementia. Making sure that the views and opinions of individuals are heard and respected. Support to individuals includes helping with legal and financial affairs, life story work, and accompanying them to appointments and meetings.
