Denny and Dunipace Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) is a trusted local charity serving communities across Denny, Dunipace, Bonnybridge, Banknock, and surrounding area. We provide free, impartial, and confidential advice on a wide range of issues including benefits, debt, housing, employment, consumer rights, and more.
Each year, our dedicated team of staff and volunteers supports over 2,000 local people, helping them find a way forward in times of crisis or uncertainty. As part of the national Citizens Advice network, we are committed to promoting social justice and tackling inequality in our community.
We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds, especially those with financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping experience. You don’t need previous trustee experience—what matters most is a commitment to our values and a willingness to contribute your expertise.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee the financial health of the bureau
Ensure financial compliance and accountability
Work with the Manager on budgeting and reporting
Present clear financial reports to the Board
Support strategic decision-making through sound financial insight
Experience required

Travel details
Denny Office: 24 Duke Street, Denny, FK6 6DD.
We are on a bus route and have free parking within walking distance.
Travel expenses
Mileage 45p per mile and reimbursement of any public transport.

Training details
All new volunteers receive a comprehensive induction to help them understand the role, the work of Citizens Advice, and the values we uphold.

Frequency & commitment
Meeting takes place 4 times a year plus AGM. However further meetings can be requested where required over and above the set meetings quarterly.
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
