Trustees for Clutter Chat Charity

Become one of our Board members and make a difference.

Are you passionate about peer support and recovery approaches, challenging stigma, and making a positive impact through organisational management and leadership? Then we need you! We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our Board.

As a Trustee you will play a vital role in ensuring the progress, stability and growth of our small organisation.  Your insights and experience will be invaluable as we work towards our mission of growing a network of peer support self-help groups for those with chronic clutter and hoarding behaviours, advocating for better services for those affected by clutter, and expanding the services we offer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

Develop a young charity.
Gain valuable experience in supporting an under-served community.
Contribute directly to improved awareness of the physical, emotional and mental health issues behind chronic clutter and hoarding.

Some experience working in the Scottish charity and community sectors would be helpful, combined with a passion for making a difference.  Imagination to expand and gain feedback from our work would be useful.  We will provide training and support.

If you're interested to learn more, please contact us today to learn more and apply! Email clutterchat@gmail.com

For more information about us please go to our website at clutterchat.co.uk.

To apply please email me on clutterchat@gmail.com with some details about your experience and interest in our Charity then we will set up a Zoom meeting to tell you more about the opportunities with the charity. For our records please will you also send your name, address and phone number.

After our initial meeting we will offer you some induction, and the opportunity to attend a Board meeting before you become a Trustee.

Board meetings normally take place on Zoom on the third Wednesday of alternate months, in the late afternoon.  They have changed day and time to enable more members to join.

If you're interested, please click the ‘apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org.
