Supervisor

Would you like to make a difference to sibling in the care system, whilst gaining valuable skills in working with children and young people? Then, this is the opportunity for you!

Siblings Reunited (STAR) reunites brothers and sisters separated in the care system, by providing the opportunity for quality and regular sibling contact.

Run from its unique farmland setting, it provides a safe, natural, calming and fun environment, where children can foster emotional bonds and help overcome the trauma associated with being separated from their siblings.

In your role, you would support these visits by providing rich and varied activities for the children to enjoy, whilst at the same time, supporting wellbeing and nurturing unique relationships.

In addition to building skills, such as communication, collaboration, adaptability and confidence, you will also benefit from being part of a committed and friendly team of volunteers and staff. Come and join us!

Experience required

Applicants should be keen, enthusiastic and be able to work with others. Their role is child centred and requires empathy and understanding. They should be able to use their initiative but also to follow direction, when new to STAR. They should be flexible and adaptable. They will need to respect boundaries, confidentiality and ensure the safeguarding of all the young people who visit STAR.
