Social Media and Marketing Volunteer

Creative with Canva, know Trends on TikTok, Familiar with Facebook, Inspired by Insta!

Livingston Fencing Club is looking for a social media volunteer to create and run campaigns on social media with the goal to grow club membership and update current members. This is a remote volunteer opportunity however someone living locally will be able to assist with content creation. The club coaches have found coaching and filming at the same time very hard so someone local who can take some photos and videos during club sessions would be very helpful.

Key responsiblities:
Develop engaging posts, graphics and videos for various platforms,
Create marketing campaigns to grow membership and keep members updated

Experience required

Skills needed:
creativity, graphic design, familiarity with social media trends
knowledge on how to grow membership and keep current members engaged

We are not looking for formal qualifications but experience of marketing and running campaigns on social media channels is essential. Creative flair is more important than formal qualifications. Also essential is a knowledge of growing and maintaining membership in a sports club setting.

Travel details

Our club runs at James Young High School, Livingston. Classes run Wednesday and Thursday evenings. We occasionally need support with video creation and sometimes this is easier done during club sessions.

Travel expenses

As a small club just starting out we can't cover expenses at the moment. We can provide free fencing classes to a volunteer and provide as much support as we can.

Frequency & commitment
We are looking for an average commitment of an hour a week, however there are times when the club might need more support. For example the start of the year is a good opportunity for reaching out to engage new members and likewise at the start of the school year is another time where the club would benefit from a well run campaign. We also might need some extra posts if for example the club was in receipt of funding and we needed to thank a stakeholder.
