Make a Difference in Your Community!
Are you passionate about supporting older adults and creating meaningful change in Glasgow? Join Common Thread Vision (CTV) and be part of a dedicated team shaping the future of a thriving women’s organisation. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Web Development Volunteer to help guide and strengthen our digital presence in Pollokshields and beyond.
About Us
CTV is committed to promoting equal opportunities for older adults by improving access to health, wellbeing, and creative activities. Our mission is to:
Reduce loneliness and isolation
Encourage independence and wellbeing
Provide engaging, inclusive community activities
The Role
Do you have experience in web development and a desire to challenge yourself while making a real difference? CTV is looking to recruit a Web Developer to develop, improve, and maintain our web presence.
This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic person with a mix of web development and IT skills who wants to use their experience to benefit the local community. You will work closely with one of the Trustees and the Chairperson, while also having the opportunity to use your own initiative to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our website and digital platforms.
What You’ll Gain
By volunteering with CTV, you will:
Develop and strengthen your web and digital skills
Expand your knowledge of working with a community organisation
Make a meaningful contribution to improving the lives of socially isolated people
Be part of a supportive and committed team
We’re looking for people with the right level of skills and some time to commit over the next few months, helping us ensure that what we present to the world in 2026 is educational, inspiring, fun, and engaging.
A good web developer knows how to build, design, maintain, and improve a website – while understanding the needs of the people who will use it.
