We are looking for friendly, compassionate volunteers to support our service for people living with memory difficulties, dementia, or mild cognitive impairment.

No experience is required – full training and ongoing support will be provided.

About the Service

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity, making sure nobody faces dementia alone.

Our service offers a safe, supportive environment where people can:

Enjoy personalised therapeutic and group activities
Connect with others and build friendships
Experience a sense of purpose, confidence, and enjoyment

At the same time, family carers can take a well-deserved break, knowing their loved one is being cared for by a skilled and supportive team.

What Volunteers Do

Support and encourage group activities
Help set up activities and prepare materials
Assist with making and serving refreshments
Spend time chatting and connecting with attendees
Help create a warm, inclusive, and relaxed atmosphere
