Groam House Museum

Groam House Museum is looking for a Volunteer Museum Treasurer to support the day-to-day financial administration of the museum, working closely with the Museum Manager and Charity Treasurer (Trustee). This is a well-defined, supported role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers but does not want sole responsibility or pressure.
What the role involves:
Depending on your interests and availability, tasks may include:
- Recording income and expenditure
- Processing invoices and payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Supporting payroll and pension administration
- Preparing simple monthly financial reports
- Helping keep financial systems organised and up to date
Time commitment and flexibility
- Flexible hours to suit
- Can be done primarily from home
- Ideal for someone retired, semi-retired, studying or balancing other commitments
- We are open to a phased or shared role
Support
Training details
You will not be working alone:
- Clear procedures and handover will be provided
- You will be supported by the Museum Manager and a Trustee Treasurer
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Availability
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
