Join the Talbot Rice Gallery Volunteer Programme and become a vital part of our front-of-house team. As a Volunteer Exhibition Assistant, you’ll welcome visitors, engage in conversations about contemporary art, meet artists and curators, and gain an understanding of how a major gallery operates. You’ll receive full training, enjoy exclusive access to exhibitions, talks and socials, and build valuable skills for a future in arts and culture—all while being part of a friendly, diverse and supportive community.

Training details

We provide a practical training group session, a curator-led tour of artworks, 121 ad hoc training/induction, ongoing training throughout the role

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18
We currently cannot support volunteers who are wheelchair users or require a lift
