Trust In Fife - The Cairn Centre

The Cairn Centre, is a charity shop linked to Trust in Fife, a homeless charity working within Fife. The Cairn Centre, located in Kirkcaldy, offers pre-owned goods- from large furniture items to bric-a-brac- to the most vulnerable people within Fife and the general public.
This role involves assisting the Retail Coordinator with the day to day running of the Cairn Centre, Trust in Fife’s charity shop which is part of their wider housing and homelessness charity. This role involves being part of the daily running of the Cairn Centre; including advising and assisting customers with purchases within the shop, cash handling, till management, stock management and rotation, dealing with telephone enquiries and arranging collections and deliveries, alongside taking in donations dropped into the shop. The shop also has an online presence.
Experience required
This role requires somebody who is a good listener, good with communication and working in a team and independently, have good customer service and a polite manner, be creative, ability to engage with people, ability to multi-task and enthusiasm.
Travel details
The opportunity is at The Cairn Centre, 83-85 Dunnikier Road, Kirkcaldy, between 10.30am and 3pm. Volunteers are required to make their own way to the shop and will have the equivalent of the cost of a bus fare returned to them as travel expenses.

Training details
Volunteers will be inducted into the organisation and receive training relevant to the role.
