CLEAR (Community-Led Environmental Action for Regeneration) addresses the poverty of people and places through two main aims; improving the local environment; and building civic pride and community engagement in the disadvantaged, neglected towns of Buckhaven and Methil. CLEAR runs a significant environmental improvement programme to uplift the public space in Buckhaven and Methil. This includes major community planting, growing and enhancement programme, including community orchard clusters, woodlands, and developing two large and several smaller community gardens. Important site-based projects have regenerated prominent greenspaces. Involving local volunteers and groups in this community effort is central to the People and Place approach. Regular cleanups are organised plus recycling - pallet & paint, bike repair and cycling workshop, healthy living initiative plus Community Fridge. Volunteers learn new skills and benefit from meals provided
